Test Leader in Welvaart's Test Centre (Lisbon, on-site): owns test strategy and master test plans, coordinates test analysts, and runs functional, integration and UAT for client projects in Agile environments, covering defect management, quality reporting and Go/No-Go support.

Project
A Test Leader role within the Test Centre (TCE), responsible for delivering testing services across the clients projects and applications. The mission combines test strategy, test management, quality assurance, stakeholder coordination and governance activities, ensuring the successful validation of project deliverables and supporting decision-making throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
The role acts as the focal point for testing activities, coordinating test analysts, managing testing execution and ensuring that quality standards are met within Agile project environments.
Role
Define and contribute to Test Strategies and Master Test Plans
Plan, organize and coordinate testing activities across projects
Design, review and validate test cases according to business and project requirements
Ensure testing activities are properly prioritized and aligned with project objectives
Coordinate and supervise Test Analysts throughout the testing lifecycle
Execute functional, integration and user acceptance testing activities
Monitor testing progress and ensure compliance with quality standards
Record, analyze and track testing results using dedicated testing tools
Manage defects and coordinate issue resolution activities
Create and maintain testing documentation and deliverables
Produce testing status reports and quality metrics
Support Go/No-Go decisions by providing accurate testing assessments
Organize and lead testing governance meetings and project testing committees
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and Business Stakeholders
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and testing results
Promote testing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies, frameworks and processes
Support Agile teams throughout project delivery cycles
We are looking for
Proven experience as a Test Leader, Test Manager or Senior QA Consultant
Experience defining testing strategies and test plans
Experience coordinating and leading testing teams
Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC)
Experience managing functional, integration and user acceptance testing activities
Experience validating business and technical requirements through testing
Experience managing testing deliverables and reporting activities
Experience supporting Go/No-Go decision processes
Experience monitoring testing progress and quality indicators
Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies
Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities
Ability to coordinate multiple testing streams simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
Valued Experience
Experience within Banking or Insurance environments
Experience in Agile/Scrum projects
Experience working in Testing Centers of Excellence (TCoE/TCE)
Experience leading distributed testing teams
Knowledge of testing automation frameworks
Experience with enterprise-scale application testing programs
Experience participating in release management and deployment validation activities
Ideal Profile
Senior Testing professional with experience leading testing initiatives and coordinating QA activities.
Strong expertise in Test Strategy, Test Planning, UAT and Quality Assurance.
Comfortable interacting with business, project and technical teams.
Able to provide clear testing visibility and support critical Go/No-Go decisions.
Strong focus on delivery quality, risk mitigation and continuous improvement within Agile environments.
