Salary: ₱120,000 – ₱140,000 per month
About the role
The Test Manager will lead and oversee testing activities across projects and delivery teams within the banking and financial services sector. This role is responsible for ensuring quality standards, testing processes, governance requirements, and delivery objectives are met. You will manage testing resources, coordinate with project stakeholders, monitor testing progress, and drive continuous improvement across testing practices.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage testing teams, including Test Leads, Test Analysts, Test Engineers, and automation and performance testing resources.
Oversee end-to-end testing activities and ensure compliance with SDLC, TCOE standards, and quality frameworks.
Develop and monitor test plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and testing deliverables.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Development Leads, and stakeholders to support quality project delivery.
Monitor test progress, defect trends, risks, and quality metrics, and provide regular status reports.
Identify testing risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and demand requirements across projects.
Identify manual testing activities suitable for automation and coordinate with the Test Automation Architect.
Coach, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for testing team members.
Drive testing process improvements, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Ensure compliance with testing governance, audit requirements, and enterprise quality standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 8 years in a Test Manager or equivalent leadership role.
Proven experience managing hybrid testing teams comprising internal and external or vendor resources.
Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects or programmes.
Strong experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience managing independent testing teams for projects and/or AMS or production support.
Strong knowledge of functional and non-functional testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with test management and testing tools such as Micro Focus ALM, Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, Selenium, UFT, LoadRunner, GitHub, and Jenkins.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and performance testing tools.
Experience in test planning, project management, risk management, and resource or capacity planning.
Strong understanding of QA governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
Experience in banking or financial services operations is preferred.
Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to mentor, coach, and improve team performance.
