Test Manager

The Test Manager plans and coordinates software quality testing for the company's IT solutions, ensuring they meet functional, performance, and scenario quality standards. As an individual contributor in the CIO organization’s Testing Center of Excellence, the role supports Test Leads and guides Test Analysts to deliver thorough, timely testing in a compliant, continuously improving environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Test planning: align stakeholders, create strategies/plans/estimates, and coordinate standards-based execution.

2. Analyst leadership: assign activities, coach analysts, coordinate timely execution, and report progress.

3. Test case development: maintain cases in approved tools and ensure requirement traceability.

4. Test resource and defect control: secure resources, track/escalate defects, and monitor quality/efficiency.

5. Test documentation: maintain scenarios, cases, data, evidence, and automation datasheets in repository.

6. Delivery culture and compliance: promote collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and professional policy adherence.

Required Qualifications

1. 3–5 years’ software testing and quality assurance experience.

2. Minimum 1–2 years leading Test Analysts in a banking environment.

3. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

4. Test management, resource planning, and leadership/mentoring of analyst teams.

5. Technical understanding for collaborating with teams to deliver required software quality.

6. Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

7. Knowledge of testing practices including TDD, BDD, test automation, and continuous testing.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Certifications: ISTQB, ISEB, QAI, PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or CSM.

2. Familiarity with Quality Center, JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit.

3. Degree or specialization in software testing or quality assurance.
