Test Software Engineer
Summary
Develops and maintains C#/C++ test automation software for optoelectronic test equipment — instrument control (SCPI/GPIB), laser and electrical test routines, and data analysis/reporting tools — while characterizing photonic devices at chip and wafer level.
Salary: $4,500 – $6,000 per month
About the role
Develop and maintain test automation software in C# and C++ for optoelectronic test equipment, covering test sequencing, instrument control, data logging and operator GUI. This role involves implementing laser measurement routines, electrical test routines, and integrating test instruments such as optical power meters, optical spectrum analysers, laser sources, source measure units and oscilloscopes via SCPI, GPIB, LAN or vendor drivers. You will perform chip-level and wafer-level characterisation of active and passive photonic and optoelectronic devices, define design verification test plans, and develop data post-processing, statistical analysis and reporting tools for yield, binning and process monitoring.
Key responsibilities
