Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Testing Manager to support an enterprise-level program within a federal environment.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Supervises a team of test specialists and manages complex, state-of-the-art test programs. Translates complex program requirements into testable objectives. Analyzes and recommends test cycle, test plans, security reviews, and detailed test objectives. Manages and works effectively with diverse organizations and personalities to execute a successful test program. Applies complex test methodologies and compensate for limitations and restrictions. Develops overall test strategy to include objectives, methodologies, analysis, and schedules. Independently assess system performance against stated requirements. Applies test discipline to design a thorough and executable test program. Leads analysis efforts to dissect output data, interface with the client, and provide clear results and recommendations. Applies use cases and user stories to create test cases.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Knowledge of advanced software and systems testing methodologies, including test planning, test cycles, test objectives, security reviews, use cases, user stories, test case development, verification, validation, and performance assessment.
  • Knowledge of test program management principles and practices, including developing comprehensive test strategies, methodologies, schedules, resource requirements, risk mitigation approaches, and executable test programs for complex systems.
  • Skill in translating complex program and system requirements into measurable, testable objectives, with the ability to develop detailed test plans, procedures, scenarios, and cases that effectively evaluate system functionality and performance.
  • Skill in supervising and leading multidisciplinary test teams, including assigning responsibilities, coordinating resources, resolving issues, managing competing priorities, and fostering effective collaboration among diverse organizations and stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently analyze system performance and test data, identify deficiencies and trends, evaluate results against established requirements, and develop clear, actionable findings and recommendations for clients and program leadership.
  • Ability to develop and execute complex test programs under operational constraints, adapting test methodologies to address system limitations, security requirements, resource restrictions, and other challenges while maintaining test integrity, quality, and schedule.

Minimum Training, Education, and Certifications

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience testing software applications, including system, regression, acceptance, end-to-end, performance, and automated testing.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with knowledge of Systems Operations, Engineering, and DevOps integration.
  • Experience developing and maintaining test cases using automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with commercial test environments, processes, and operating procedures.
  • Experience supervising test specialists and managing complex testing programs.
  • Relevant industry certification

Physical Requirements

  • Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking (including stairs) throughout offices and between buildings. May require use of public transportation, personal or Government vehicle to drive to local and/or remote office locations.
