Testing QA Engineer Senior
About the role
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting activities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business and customer expectations. The role demands working knowledge of test automation concepts and tools, with hands-on experience in Java-based automation frameworks.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting activities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business and customer expectations
Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases
Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality against defined requirements
Conduct end-to-end business process validation across integrated systems to ensure complete functional coverage and data integrity
Review and validate test cases, test evidence, and defect quality to improve overall testing effectiveness and coverage
Support test planning, test estimation, and testing status reporting for small to medium-sized projects and releases
Manage the complete defect lifecycle, including defect identification, logging, tracking, retesting, and closure
Handle change requests, impact assessments, and regression testing activities
Design and implement scalable automation frameworks and integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
About you
Graduate/Post Graduate with technical background
5-10 years of automation consulting experience across multiple platforms and varied domains
At least 5 years of experience in test automation
Mandatory experience in the Insurance domain, with Guidewire Property & Casualty (P&C) expertise considered a strong advantage
Strong understanding of Software Testing Fundamentals, QA methodologies, testing processes, and industry best practices
Hands-on experience in Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
Working knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks, with exposure to tools such as Java Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and RestAssured
Experience in Playwright is an added advantage
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and testing activities
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate concisely and clearly
