The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic QA Manager to join our team at Cavan, SA. This position offers a unique opportunity to embark on a stable, progressive, and fulfilling career within a secure and supportive working environment.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the effectiveness of the overall Quality System and its Continual Improvement. They are responsible for daily monitoring the personal health and personal hygiene practices of all production staff to ensure conformance with procedures and to initiate effective corrective actions and follow up when non-conformances have been detected.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the National QA Manager some areas of responsibility would include, but not be limited to:
- Pre operational inspection.
- Maintain Quality Records, Product Specifications and other Quality Data to maintain Quality Assurance reporting structures.
- Initiating and following up on the implementation of the Company’s Quality Policy and Documented Quality Management System.
- Routinely liaise with customer quality teams to ensure all specifications are up to date and allow the maximum amount of product to be complaint without being detrimental to consumer experience.
- Complete product checks to ensure products meets TFIA & Customer specifications
- Monitor temperature requirements for storage of products
- Inspect cartons for compliance to specification and temperature requirements.
- Participate in audits internal and external
- Collect relevant samples as required
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 12 months experience in similar field
- Certificate IV in QA
- Relevant qualifications in a Quality Assurance
- Computer application and user skills
- Organised and detail oriented
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience in Red Meat Quality Assurance
