POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of The Epicenter’s facilities, including the bowling lanes, digital arcade games, jump zone, movie theatre, laser tag equipment, and other amenities. This individual will work closely with the Epicenter Facilities Supervisor and ensure the center's equipment and facilities are safe, operational, and well-maintained to provide an optimal guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ensure the timely and efficient completion of all maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work under the guidance of experienced maintenance staff to learn and perform various maintenance and repair tasks.
- Adherence of maintenance schedules, including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Adhere to equipment preventative maintenance programs, ensuring smooth operation and longevity.
- Assist in inspecting and maintaining the facility's equipment and amenities, recording observations as needed.
- Support the upkeep of bowling lanes, including basic cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in managing inventory for parts and components, ensuring availability for repairs and replacements.
- Learn and follow safety protocols and best practices for maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with experienced staff to troubleshoot and address electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
- Assist in the inspection and basic maintenance of refrigeration and freezing units, reporting deficiencies promptly.
- Participate in maintaining records and logs for electrical and fire suppression systems.
- Aid in minor carpentry tasks such as repairs to doors, windows, handrails, and cabinetry.
- Learn and assist in sheetrock repairs, from installation to finishing touches.
- Support painting projects following established maintenance standards.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
- Learn the proper use, care, and storage of power tools used for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the Epicenter, Public areas, Offices and other required areas.
- Cleaning duties include dusting, window washing, and laundry. This is not an exhaustive list. The Epicenter Facilities Worker must assume responsibility for keeping areas maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Clean between machines and remove debris and discard empty bottles. Wipe down all machines.
- Empty and clean trashcans and recyclable containers.
- Keep all chairs/table chairs clean and straightened in.
- Remove spots and scuffs from all mirrors, doors, windows and walls
- Clean and stock bathrooms as assigned and as outlined in job procedures.
- Floor care to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and shampooing carpeted and tiled floors.
- Handle all cleaning products safely and use only for intended purpose. Read and understand Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used in performance of position.
- Report maintenance needs to The Epicenter Facilities Supervisor.
- Assist guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing service and information when possible. Direct guests to assistance when not able to assist.
- Clean bio-hazards in accordance with proper handling and disposal procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Cross train in other Epicenter roles to provide back up as needed.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required
AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
