Theatre Lighting Designer (Adjunct Faculty)
The Theatre Lighting Designer is responsible for the design and implementation of the lighting design for the production.
Employed on a per-load-unit basis for a given semester or term. Sole contracted responsibilities are those activities required in the delivery of a design (e.g., mentoring/coaching, preparation, teaching, grading).
The department produces 4 theatre main stage productions, 3 dance concerts, and 2 musical cabarets within a given season. The productions in our season serve as a lab opportunity for the students in our program so that our students can gain real production experience.
The department offers a B.A. in Theatre, a B.A. in Dance and Dance Education, and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. It is staffed by three full-time faculty, a staff technical director, and a production manager.

- Attend all scheduled design and production meetings.
- Complete sketches, renderings, or plots for lighting design as needed.
- Shop for and/or select all items pertaining to lighting.
- Supervise lighting crew.
- Attend technical and dress rehearsals.
- Make design materials available for the purposes of display and publicity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Sufficient professional experience and/or terminal degree.
