About the Role
We’re hiring a Foster Care Treatment Consultant to support therapeutic foster care services across North Carolina. In this role, you’ll ensure that treatment and permanency planning services are delivered through a person- and family-centered approach. You’ll work closely with foster families, youth, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote healing, stability, and long-term success. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about improving outcomes for children and families in foster care.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee individualized therapeutic care and permanency planning for foster youth

Provide guidance and support to foster parents and treatment teams

Conduct home visits and ensure compliance with licensing and treatment standards

Facilitate team meetings to develop and monitor individualized service plans

Collaborate with state agencies, case managers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care

Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with agency and state requirements

Travel frequently to meet clients and families (approximately 70% of the time)

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in a Human Services field with at least one (1) year of full-time, post-graduate MH/DD/SA experience with the population served
or

Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field with at least two (2) years of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree MH/DD/SA experience with the population served

Licensed, provisionally licensed, certified, registered, or permitted by the governing board regulating a human service profession in North Carolina (excluding RNs licensed by the NC Board of Nursing)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience providing treatment and permanency planning for foster youth

Strong organizational, communication, and crisis management skills
