Therapy Aide
Summary
Assists patients with therapy activities and daily care under professional supervision in a hospital setting, handling equipment cleaning, linen changes, and patient mobility support.
NATURE OF WORK &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assistance with patient therapy treatment on all
units. Follow through on recommendation of treatment team.
Completing infection control maintenance tasks. Changing of linens and
pick up/drop off dirty linen. Cleaning of wheelchairs and cushions and
other therapy equipment as needed. Physically assisting group programs,
individual treatment sessions and functional activities in order to maintain
patient and staff safety. Physical assistance and lifting is
required. Ordering supplies as needed. Xeroxing educational
materials, home programs. Assist in cleaning and maintenance of cushion
closet. Updating and verifying patient schedules and other duties as
assigned.
