Therapy Assistant - Recreation Casual

The Therapy Assistant facilitates person centred care with direction from the appropriate Therapist or Manager. You will perform your Therapy Assistant duties for Recreation Services in accordance with set guidelines standards and best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned/required. FOR RECREATION THERAPY ASSISTANTS ONLY\: Duties include planning, preparation, and providing implementation of therapeutic and leisure activities through providing encouragement, hands on assistance, cueing and leadership, both in facility and in community settings. These may include scheduling, organizing, and leading group programs such as; exercise, pet therapy, computer, horticulture, aquatics, pubnight (serving alcohol), etc., Scheduling, preparing and assisting with direction from a Recreation Therapist and assisting with equipment cleaning, adjustments and maintenance. The successful candidate will be organized and be willing to succeed by incorporating the CapitalCare values into their work.
