Homecare – Therapy Authorization Coordinator

Location: Training will be done at 986 Tibbetts Wick Rd, Girard, OH 44420. Hybrid schedule with one day a week in office at our Girard and Akron locations.

Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

            The responsibilities of our Therapy Authorization Coordinators Include:

            • Address all insurance denials for therapy department and send appeals when necessary
            • Answer general information questions and deliver messages
            • Assist with therapy scheduling and availability
            • Answer calls from clinical team members
            • Assist Therapy Scheduler with task type changes
            • Perform other duties as required


            Job Conditions:

            • Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
            • It is a primarily a desk job, which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication


            Qualifications:

            • Medical Background preferred
            • Insurance experience preferred
            • Must have High School education
            • Must have a minimum of six months office experience
            • Must possess typing and clerical skills
            • Must have a criminal background check
