About the role

This specialist proactively searches for cyber threats that may have bypassed existing security defences. They analyse patterns in network activity and system behaviours to identify potential security breaches before they cause damage. They are also involved in SIEM management and are responsible for creating and maintaining the rules in the SIEM platform. The role involves investigating suspicious activities and developing strategies to detect emerging threats.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proactively searches for hidden threats and emerging attack patterns across Client's IT, digital and cloud infrastructure landscape;
  • Develops and implements hunting hypotheses;
  • Performs advanced threat detection;
  • Analyses attack patterns and behaviours;
  • Creates hunting playbooks;
  • Implements new detection methods; and
  • Conducts forensic investigations.

Core Requirements:

  • GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) or OffSec OSTH or eCTHP or other equivalent cybersecurity certification;
  • A minimum THREE (3) years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat hunting, or related cybersecurity disciplines; and
  • Possess strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills and advanced problem-solving skills in cybersecurity threat landscape environment.
