Thunderhead Developer

We are looking for a Thunderhead / SmartCOMM Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise document generation solutions for the Treasury and Capital Markets domain. The role involves building dynamic, data-driven document templates, integrating SmartCOMM with trading and post-trade platforms, and ensuring reliable document generation across both real-time and batch processing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Thunderhead / SmartCOMM templates, workflows, and document generation solutions.
• Build dynamic customer communications, including trade confirmations, account statements, and regulatory reports.
• Configure data-driven templates using business rules, conditional logic, and reusable components.
• Integrate SmartCOMM with trading and post-trade platforms such as Murex, Calypso, and other enterprise systems.
• Develop and support both real-time and batch document generation processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production releases, and post-deployment validation.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support, troubleshooting document generation issues and implementing enhancements.
• Follow Agile development practices and contribute throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Thunderhead / SmartCOMM development.
• Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, and SQL.
• Experience with document template design, business rules, and conditional logic.
• Exposure to Treasury, Capital Markets, or Investment Banking domains.
• Familiarity with trading and post-trade platforms such as Murex and Calypso.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
