Oversee and execute tile installation on construction sites while managing a small team of tilers, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
Job Scope of a Tiler cum Supervisor
1. Tiling Work
- Measure and mark surfaces for tile installation.
- Prepare floors and walls by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing where required.
- Cut and install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other types of tiles.
- Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants according to project specifications.
- Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed.
- Ensure finished work meets quality and design standards.
2. Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of tilers and helpers.
- Assign tasks and monitor work progress.
- Ensure work is completed according to project schedules and drawings.
- Conduct quality inspections and rectify defects promptly.
- Train and guide workers on proper tiling techniques and best practices.
3. Site Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other trades.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available before work begins.
- Report daily work progress, manpower, and site issues.
- Resolve site-related problems to minimize delays.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications and local building standards.
5. Material & Resource Management
- Estimate material requirements and minimize wastage.
- Inspect delivered materials for quality and quantity.
- Monitor inventory and request additional materials when necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
