Summary

Install and finish wall and floor tiles in residential or commercial spaces, following blueprints and safety protocols.

Surface Preparation

  • Clean and dry walls and floors before work starts.
  • Level uneven surfaces using sand, cement, plaster, or screed.
  • Waterproof wet areas like bathrooms or kitchens when required

Measuring and Planning

  • Read and follow blue prints, design drawings, and architectural plans.
  • Measure spaces and mark layout lines to align patterns correctly.
  • Estimate and order the correct quantity of tiles and adhesive

Cutting and Installation

  • Cut tiles to precise shapes using hand tools or power wet saws.
  • Apply adhesives and set tiles with correct spacing and even alignment.
  • Ensure surfaces remain flush with edges, corners, and fixtures

Finishing and Repair

  • Fill joints and gaps using pointing grout.
  • Clean excess grout and polish the final tiled surface.
  • Repair or replace cracked, chipped, or hollow tiles.

Safety and Site Maintenance

  • Follow site safety regulations, risk assessments, and standard codes of practice.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
