Summary
A tiler installs wall and floor tiles by reading blueprints, cutting tiles to fit, and adhering them to surfaces in residential or commercial spaces.
- Able to read drawings

- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools
- Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs
- Inspecting surfaces to be tiled
- Identify and rectify wall and floor tiling defects
- Strong manual skills
- Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles
- Willingness to work overtime
- Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions (heat, cold, outdoors)
- Willing to work a midnight shift
