Summary
Lays and finishes floor tiles in construction projects, following blueprints and safety protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities – Floor Tiler
- Prepare floor surfaces before tiling work.
- Measure and mark floor layout according to drawings.
- Cut tiles to the required size and shape.
- Lay floor tiles according to project specifications and approved drawings.
- Apply tile adhesive and grout correctly.
- Ensure tiles are level, aligned, and evenly spaced.
- Repair or replace damaged or defective tiles.
- Maintain good workmanship and quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean and free from hazards.
- Use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all site safety rules, Risk Assessment (RA), and Safe Work Procedure (SWP).
- Report any unsafe conditions, defects, or incidents to the Site Supervisor immediately.
- Use tools and equipment safely and properly.
- Complete assigned work within the scheduled timeline.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
