Timberland: Manager, Integrated Business Planning

As the Manager, Integrated Business Planning, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the Timberland Americas business, partnering across Merchandising, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Distribution Centers, and Finance to keep our plans aligned and our business moving forward. Through leadership of our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operation Execution (S&OE) processes, you'll turn insights into action, driving decisions that optimize revenue, profitability, and inventory productivity. Reporting to the Head of Planning, you'll help ensure we're ready for what's next.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and financial objectives across the Americas business. Drive channels towards short term & long term objectives, holding all channels accountable.
Own business hindsight analysis, sell-out reporting, and marketplace performance analytics that inform trading decisions, seasonal planning milestones, and executive decision making.
Serve as the central point of contact for marketplace insights, consolidating information from Consumer Insights, Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, and other functions to drive fact-based recommendations.
Develop and enhance analytical capabilities across the business by evaluating key performance indicators including traffic, conversion, average transaction value, customer retention, inventory productivity, and revenue trends. Build AI automation into the process to allow focus on insights over aggregation of data.
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting activities, ensuring alignment between commercial plans, inventory strategies, and financial targets.
Manage gross-to-net forecasting and reporting, providing visibility into promotional impacts, revenue drivers, and business risks and opportunities.
Lead weekly shipment and inventory reviews with commercial teams and distribution center partners to ensure operational readiness and proactive issue resolution.
Partner with Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to maintain a healthy order book, identify risks early, and support effective execution.
Lead inventory trading discussions and actions to optimize inventory deployment, maximize sales opportunities, and minimize excess inventory risk.
Support the Regional Long-Range Planning (LRP) process by providing insights, forecasts, and business recommendations that inform strategic planning.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for team members while fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 7+ years of experience in planning, business analytics, finance, supply chain, merchandising, or related fields and a demonstrated record of driving business results.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Strong experience leading cross-functional planning processes, including demand planning, inventory planning, forecasting, or business planning.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and align teams around common business objectives.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, gross-to-net management, inventory productivity, and performance analysis.
Experience using data visualization and business intelligence tools to identify trends, measure performance, and support decision making.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage senior leadership teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Experience leading, coaching, and developing talent within a collaborative team environment.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Experience working within consumer products, wholesale, retail, footwear, apparel, or outdoor industry environments.
Experience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), or Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.
Experience with advanced analytics, statistical forecasting, or planning systems.
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related discipline.
Experience integrating AI into business reporting.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of our HQ in Stratham, NH three days a week.
Hiring Range:
$100,000.00 USD - $125,000.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
