Atomic Transport is looking for a Tire Technician / Mechanic Assistant for preventative maintenance and diesel service

Atomic Transport is a quickly growing force in the transportation segment of the waste industry operating over 23 terminals across the Southeast and Midwest. We are currently seeking a tire tech / mechanic assistant to join our crew in our Wilmington, NC area. Our team and our shop have grown, and we need someone that can help ensure the fleet’s maintenance needs are met!

• Mount/ Dismount tires as needed.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Perform vehicle inspections.
• Make road calls as needed.
• This is a Full Time Position!
• Pay starting at $21-$25 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred to have standard mechanic’s toolset (Company provides specialty tools)
• Have minimum one-year, verifiable experience
• Have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation to work
• CDL-A or B preferred, but not required
• Ne able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checks
• Should be knowledgeable about DOT vehicle maintenance requirements and regulations
