Adler Pelzer Group - a growing Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a safety driven Tool and Die Technician for the manufacturing operations in Thomson, GA. The Tool and Dye Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving tooling and dies used in the manufacturing process. This position is essential to the success of daily operations and keeping equipment running. Responsibilities of the Tool & Die Maintenance Technician:
- Perform daily shop inspections and preventative maintenance
- Exposure to metal fabrication, welding (stick, MIG & TIG)
- Ability to weld aluminum and steel
- Performs all tasks in a safe manner
- Comply with safety rules and company policies
- Set-Up and get molds ready to ensure consistent quality, output, and yield
- Complete daily mold change sheets and other required paperwork
- Complete/participate in any and all PPS activities as directed by Supervisors
- Communicate effectively with production team members, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure quality installation of molds
- Troubleshoot issues with the molds
- Perform preventative maintenance on injection mold tooling and prior to mold changes
- Troubleshoot any problems involved with mold changes
- Remove and install Hot Runner Service
- Support Engineers with tool design reviews on new builds
- Ability to determine feasibilities of engineering change during design reviews
- 3-5 Years of Tool and Die troubleshooting experience required.
- Must have experience with set-up and operation of milling machines, grinders, saws, lathes and other tool room equipment.
- Must be able to perform calculations such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Candidates must be able to read blueprints, create sketches for engineering, and fabricate machines components from drawing and samples.
- Plastics mold repair is a PLUS to have.
- Basic Tig welding experience.
- Occasional overtime will be required.

Salary range for this position is $27-$30+/hour. Specific salary is commensurate with experience and factors such as relevant experience, education, certifications and licenses, skills, and training.
