Tool/Gage Designer
Summary
The Tool/Gage Designer creates and maintains gauging and tooling designs for bearings and multi-component assemblies. The role involves developing 3D models and drawings to support new product development and manufacturing operations.
The purpose of this position is to provide gage design for the development of new products and maintenance of legacy products including bearings and multi-component assemblies
Principal Responsibilities
- Work as part of an Engineering team to design gauging/tooling for new products involving bearings and multi-component assemblies to meet the needs of a variety of existing and new customers.
- Lead the development of 3-D models and drawings to support new product development gauging/tooling activities as well as engineering changes to existing products related to gauging capability.
- Provide support to Manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain gage/Tool designs & gage procedures.
Qualifications:
An A.S. in Design Engineering plus 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent on-the-job experience
