Hartville Hardware is opening a brand-new store in Middlefield, Ohio this summer, and we are looking for a Tool Sales Specialist to lead the way on our Festool tool line. In this role, you will be the store's go-to expert on Festool's precision system of power tools and accessories, helping do-it-yourselfers and tradespeople alike find exactly the right tools for their projects. Your deep product knowledge, hands-on demonstrations, and genuine enthusiasm for great tools will make every customer's visit a confident, informed one.

• Serve as our store's Festool product expert, guiding customers through the Festool system alongside our broader selection of hand tools, power tools, and accessories, and helping them find the right tools for their projects.
• Answer customer questions on tool features, applications, and benefits, and provide hands-on demonstrations covering proper use, maintenance, and safety precautions.
• Stay current on Festool products and other leading tool brands so you can offer informed, trustworthy recommendations and technical support on product applications and troubleshooting.
• Meet or exceed sales goals by promoting tool-related products and promotions, and upsell complementary accessories and maintenance supplies to increase transaction value.
• Keep the tools department stocked, organized, and attractively displayed, and work with the inventory team to track stock levels and flag popular items running low.
• Educate customers on tool maintenance, safety, and proper usage, and collaborate with fellow sales associates on displays, promotions, and ongoing product training.

• Background in construction, DIY, or the tools industry is a plus
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred
• Familiarity with Festool products, or knowledge of the broader hardware and tool industry, highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and related accessories, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers of all experience levels
• Strong sales and upselling skills, with the ability to handle multiple customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and bend, kneel, and move product around the store as needed
