Toronto Senior Software Developer Backend

Join our team in Toronto as a Senior Software Developer specializing in Back End systems, working in the office three days a week. You will provide expertise in PL/I coding, XML processing, and collaborate on key system changes. This role involves deep engagement in analyzing technical database requirements and translating them into workable designs. You will actively participate in status reporting and effective knowledge transfer with team staff, ensuring ongoing project alignment and communication. Key Responsibilities: • Create detailed technical specifications in compliance with OPS • Develop and modify code to reflect design approvals • Conduct integration testing and record outcomes • Interface regularly with mid-tier developers on projects • Provide regular status updates to project leads Requirements: • At least 5 years of mainframe PL/I programming experience • Experience with PL/I V4.5 or better • Knowledge of IMS DB V12 or newer • Familiarity with z/OS V2.2 and relevant management tools • Skillful in QA technical standards and database management Leverage your experience in PL/I and XML to drive innovative solutions in our dynamic team.
