Overview
A Toy Shop driver is needed to pick up and deliver donated toys from our corporate sponsors throughout NYC and transport them to Star Lake Camp. It is essential that the driver is able to effectively maneuver difficult driving conditions and is confident driving a truck. The driver will also need to assist with loading and unloading the van. Toy Shop support will include moving and sorting of packages at Star Lake Lodge.
Responsibilities
- Driving the Truck for the Pickup and delivery of donated gifts
- Adhering to the Pick-Up & Distribution Schedules provided
- Loading and unloading the van with donations
- Sorting donated toys when needed
- Lifting heavy bags and boxes
- Will include picking up toys in various locations in NYC and transporting them to Star Lake Camp
- Will also include Toy Shop responsibilities: Moving toys from storage to distribution area, assisting with sorting of packages, general assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Driver’s license in good standing
- Must have a DOT certification
- Good NYC navigational skills
- Knowledge of NYC traffic/standing/parking rules & regulations
- Excellent driving skills
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Professional
- Includes day hours, but flexibility is a plus.
