Trade Execution Executive (Dry Bulk)
Summary
Coordinates and executes physical bulk commodity trades, managing contracts, documentation, and logistics from contract to settlement while liaising with traders, suppliers, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor physical bulk commodity trades from contract to final settlement.
- Review and administer sales and purchase contracts to ensure contractual compliance.
- Coordinate with traders, customers, suppliers, shipowners, brokers, agents, terminals and surveyors throughout the shipment process.
- Prepare and manage shipping and trade documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices, certificates and Letter of Credit documents.
- Monitor vessel schedules, cargo movements and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Liaise with finance on invoicing, trade finance documentation and payment collections.
- Support laytime, demurrage and claims management where applicable.
- Maintain accurate trade records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in trade operations, shipping operations or commodity trading.
- Experience handling physical bulk commodities will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of international trade documentation, Incoterms and Letters of Credit (UCP 600).
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
