Trade Finance Solutions Architect - Senior Vice President

As a Senior Vice President, Trade Finance Solutions Architect, you will define the technology vision for Citi's Trade Finance platforms, working at the intersection of architecture, strategy and client impact. Based in Jersey City, you will act as the single point of contact for architecture decisions, guiding high-volume processing systems toward AI-native, cloud-based solutions. This role offers the chance to influence enterprise technology direction while partnering directly with senior stakeholders across business, product and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision for Trade Finance technology platforms, ensuring alignment with Citi's enterprise architecture standards.

• Design enterprise-level architecture, strategy and problem-solving solutions for high-volume Trade Finance processing systems.

• Serve as the single point of contact for architecture decisions, connecting business, product, operations and technology teams.

• Guide the adoption of cloud, PaaS and AI-native technologies to modernize Trade Finance platforms and improve straight-through processing.

• Evaluate vendor technology capabilities and influence product roadmaps to meet Citi's Trade Finance requirements.

• Partner with senior stakeholders across business, product and technology to shape future-state technology strategies.

• Strengthen cyber controls, including authentication, authorization and digital asset security covering cryptocurrency and stablecoin processing.

• Identify and manage architecture-related risk, protecting Citi's systems, clients and reputation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ years of experience in architecture and solution design within banking and financial services.

• Established background in Trade Finance technology and operations.

• Experience managing client relationships and engaging senior stakeholders across business, product and technology functions.

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift deadlines under pressure.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Self-starter who takes initiative and masters new tasks quickly.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and cloud-based technology stacks.

• Exposure to AI-native architecture thinking and emerging technology adoption.

• Familiarity with product development lifecycle (PDLC) practices.

• Knowledge of digital assets, including cryptocurrency and stablecoin technologies.

• Experience operating in high-volume, straight-through processing (STP) environments.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
