Trade Merchandising Specialist (B2C Merchandising Promotions)
Job Summary:
The Trade Merchandising Specialist (B2C Merchandising Promotions) will develop and drive best-in-class brand presence, accessibility, visibility and activations in Trade aligned with Nespresso USA and Retailer strategy (primary point of contact for all creative adaptations aligned with Marketing and Nespresso USA strategy). This role will drive operational efficiency and optimization aligned with Trade Merchandising investment strategy. The Trade Merchandising Specialist will also lead and manage relationships 3rd Party Agencies and Key Trade Account Visual teams (where applicable). This includes account management support for B2C customers including Costco, BJ’s Wholesale, Sam’s Club, as well as Grocers including Kroger, Myer’s and Fred Myers markets. This is a hybrid-based opportunity that works 2 days a week onsite (NYC Manhattan Herald Square Office) and 3 days remotely from home.
Responsibilities:
Trade Branding, Messaging and Merchandising Implementation
• Define and manage Corner and Store Fixture program aligned with Nespresso USA strategy, shopper marketing, path to purchase, market and category trends with concepts and tools provided by HQ (this includes but not limited to owning end to end process including site survey, layout creation, obtaining Key Account approvals, production and installation coordination and supervision).
• Define and manage Trade Point of Sale Material production and implementations for Nespresso USA aligned with trade account strategy, shopper marketing and customer journey ensuring flawless execution and brand consistency (this includes but not limited to: product displays, window displays, in-store signage, point of purchase materials, demo program fixtures and pop-up programs).
• Define and manage Selling Materials for New Item Launches, Campaigns and Trade Promotions (this includes but it is not limited to Selling presentations, Playbooks / Guidebooks, Vouchers, Product Fact / Spec sheets, Product Images, Trade Partner and Machine Partner specific initiatives including Registry).
• Manage Trade Show implementation including end to end process.
• Support Demo and Merchandising program by developing local durable branding solutions/furniture/ tools (end to end process: determine need, manage brief and design development, manage RFPs and local production/roll outs).
• Ensure effective communication and information flow between Trade Merchandising, Shopper Marketing, Key Account Team, Sales Operations Team and external agencies/suppliers.
Vendor and Budget Management
• Lead and manage relationship with 3rd party agencies ensuring compliance and flawless execution including PO management process.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to search for operational and budget efficiencies
• Define and manage CAPEX investment plan aligned with Nespresso USA, Omni, Channel, Key Accounts and Shopper Marketing strategy.
• Manage and optimize Trade Merchandising budget specific but not limited to Key Accounts, Point of Sale Material, Promotions, Programs, Campaigns by utilizing Smart Evals portal and Business Case creation.
• Develop and manage reports in collaboration with the Insights Team, Sales Analytics, Shopper Marketing and Key Account Management Teams to ensure continuous improvement efforts, ROI (using Smart Evals portal and Business Case format) and KPIs achievement.
• Identify branding, merchandising and messaging opportunities/ solutions based on shopper, market and category trends and ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in in Business Administration, Marketing or in a related field required.
• 3+ years of professional work experience in a related field required, preferably working within Shopper Marketing, Trade, Sales or Retail Marketing.
• Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) is required.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
• Experience working with external agencies and vendors is required.
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Must be detail oriented and have strong problem-solving skillsets.
• Ability to work through change management and business transformation.
• Experience working with Salesforce, InDesign and/or Adobe Illustrator is highly preferred.
• Current or prior experience working within Retal or a Luxury Brand is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business.

Salary: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
