Our client, a well-established bank is seeking to fill the role of trade operations

Job Description

  • Process and support end-to-end trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit (Import/Export), Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Trade Loans.
  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and within agreed service levels, in compliance with internal policies, UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, ISP98, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review trade documents for completeness and discrepancies, liaising with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Process amendments, settlements, reimbursements, and financing related to trade transactions.
  • Handle SWIFT messaging and ensure timely execution of trade instructions.
  • Perform transaction screening and ensure compliance with AML/CFT, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support daily reconciliations, reporting, audit requests, and operational risk controls.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Operations, Compliance, and external counterparties to ensure seamless transaction processing.
  • Participate in system enhancement initiatives, process improvements, and UAT where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Banking, or a related discipline.
  • 2–6 years of Trade Operations or Trade Finance Operations experience within a bank.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance products, including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Trade Loans.
  • Familiarity with UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, ISP98, SWIFT messaging, and trade finance regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting operational deadlines.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
