Trade Operations Officer

Our client is one of the largest commodities in the world, and they are currently seeking a Trade Operations Officer to join their team in Singapore.

Your new role

• Manage the full trade lifecycle from deal confirmation to final settlement for physical commodity trades.
• Coordinate with traders, suppliers, customers, shipping agents, terminals, inspectors, banks, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of trades.
• Prepare and review trade documentation, including sales and purchase contracts, invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, inspection certificates, letters of credit, and shipping documents.
• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo nominations, loading and discharge activities, and resolve any operational issues.
• Ensuretimely issuance and verification of shipping and commercial documents in accordance with contractual requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 2–5 years of trade operations experience within bitumen, petrochemicals, crude oil, or refined petroleum products.
• Strong understanding of physical commodity trade execution, shipping documentation, Incoterms, and Letters of Credit.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
