Trade Support Specialist
Trade support specialist (Maternity cover for 9 months) - this role plays a critical role within the Trading team, providing comprehensive operational and administrative support to traders to ensure the seamless execution of international commodity trading transactions.
Job Responsibility:
- Commercial contract drafting and terms negotiations.
- Letter of credit issuance, document presentations and negotiations.
- Liaise with banks and internal finance department to execute trade finance for physical shipments and Forex hedges.
- Post shipment settlements.
- Ensure integrity of management information provided to Finance and Risk for reporting purpose.
- Support an outstanding control environment as well as develop and implement new initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin to effectively communicate and liaise with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of trade finance, UCP600, ISBP, bulk commodities trading operations would be advantageous.
- Minimum2 years of relevant experience in trade support function, experience in bulk commodities, ores and palm oil experienced preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability work within short timeline.
- Ability to priorities and deploy strategy to handle multiple issues according to the situation.
- Able to work as team as well as independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with partners and peers.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Coding knowledge is added advantage.
