As we continue to expand, HFM is seeking a driven Trading Platforms Enterprise Software Architect to join our team. You will design and build software architecture on and around MetaQuotes MT4 and MT5 trading platforms, set development standards and write code alongside Platforms teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end architecture for applications built on and around MT4/MT5 trading servers.
- Set platform software design and development standards, including application impact on live trading servers.
- Own integration architecture between trading servers and the wider estate, including liquidity and price-feed integration.
- Define platform software security and observability as architectural requirements.
- Prepare platform applications for containers and Kubernetes / Amazon EKS, aligned with the estate modernization roadmap.
- Write production code and build shared libraries and proofs of concept for platform applications.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
- Mentor engineers and support routine, verifiable and reversible trading-platform changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering, including several years architecting software on or around a live electronic trading platform.
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage.
- Deep knowledge of the MetaQuotes MT4/MT5 ecosystem, including the Manager API.
- Expert proficiency in C# and .NET, strong C++ for plugin development, and advanced SQL.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency and high availability in high-throughput, mission-critical systems; experience designing Windows applications for Kubernetes / Amazon EKS is a strong plus.
- Experience with liquidity and price-feed integration, including bridge platforms such as PrimeXM.
- Familiarity with the regulated-broker environment (CySEC, MiFID II) as it constrains platform design.
- Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
