Job Title: Traffic Controller / Dispatcher

Reports To: Operations Manager / Logistics Supervisor

Role Purpose: To oversee and coordinate the movement of vehicles, drivers, and cargo, ensuring efficient routing, compliance with safety standards, and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and assign delivery routes based on schedules and cargo requirements.

• Monitor vehicle movements using GPS or fleet management systems.

• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, resolve issues, and update delivery statuses.

• Liaise with warehouse staff, customers, and security personnel to ensure smooth cargo handling.

• Respond promptly to emergencies, delays, or breakdowns with effective solutions.

• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, and incidents.

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

• Report operational challenges and suggest improvements to management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in dispatching, traffic control, or logistics coordination preferred.

• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of Singapore’s road networks and traffic regulations.

• Proficiency in fleet management software or GPS tracking systems.

• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

• Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Office-based with regular communication via phone, radio, or digital platforms.

• May require shift work, including weekends or public holidays.

• Fast-paced environment with responsibility for multiple vehicles and drivers simultaneously.
