Primary Objective

The Traffic Inventory Associate confirms that JAM Services maintains the correct amount of stocked materials for customer orders, tracking stock items and counting specific inventory to ensure on-hand quantities are accurate and sufficient to meet customer needs. This is a hybrid position that takes place in both the warehouse and the office. The role is responsible for organizing and maintaining stock, preparing and moving product for delivery or replenishment, and providing flexible support to Traffic and Production teams as operational needs require.

  • Receives and checks in new materials; inspects incoming shipments and verifies packing slip information for accuracy prior to stocking.
  • Stocks shelves with incoming materials following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to maintain proper inventory rotation.
  • Updates the Stock Purchasing Log and Traffic & Lighting Inventory Log to reflect current inventory levels; performs cycle counts and reconciles balances on an ongoing basis.
  • Pulls materials for customer orders accurately and in a timely manner; records serial numbers from items in stock as required.
  • Prints labels for organizing and separating inventory items; maintains Traffic stock aisles to ensure product is clearly identified, properly arranged, and work areas are clean and hazard-free.
  • Collaborates with the shipping and receiving team to verify packing slips before shipment and ensure materials are routed to the correct stock location or delivery staging area.
  • Inspects returned materials, restocks items as appropriate, and updates inventory logs to reflect returned quantities.
  • Performs stock checks upon request using the Teams “Stock Check” channel; files physical packing slips by date for record-keeping purposes.
  • Orders stock materials when inventory falls below required levels using QuickBooks; monitors supply needs proactively to prevent stockouts.
  • Serves as a backup resource for the Production team during periods of high demand or staffing gaps.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
