Traffic Manager

About the role

Guarantee excellence in trunk transport operations for the Cofares Group, optimizing service levels and costs, the efficient management of logistics providers, and strict compliance with the regulatory and budgetary framework.

What you'll do

• Ensure compliance with planned collections and deliveries across the different centers and platforms nationwide for Grupo Cofares.
• Plan transport needs and coordinate the optimal assignment of loads and vehicles according to the needs of the national network.
• Implementation and supervision of the Transport Model defined by the Transport Directorate. Design collection and delivery routes for national trunk transport and audit existing ones with the objective of optimizing profitability. Ensure compliance with the characteristics set out in said Model. Supervise and monitor the trunk transport service (technical specifications, sanitary requirements, corporate image, KPIs, etc.).
• Comprehensively manage operational deviations, articulating rapid solutions alongside other internal areas and providers to minimize the impact on the value chain.
• Validate transport invoices ensuring the exact application of agreed rates, supervise customer budgets, and control the operating costs of the area.
• Guarantee the correct insertion of data into the warehouse management system (WMS/TMS) and maintain the validity of the documentary file.
• Coordinate the performance of periodic audits of transport providers to certify that they comply with legal regulations and the quality standards of Grupo Cofares. Supervise the degree of achievement of the ten basic principles and protocols set out in the Transport Model.
• Guarantee strict compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators of the service (OTIF, costs/km, incidents) to propose continuous improvement actions.
• Analyze opportunities for cost reduction and increased efficiency in the trunk transport service.
• Collaborate in the implementation of the policies, procedures, and tools defined by the Transport Directorate in each of the territories, subsequently verifying compliance with them.
• Provide legal advice to warehouse managers regarding the transport regulations applicable to the area.
• Manage the personnel under their charge.

Requirements

• Higher degree vocational training in Transport and Logistics or equivalent training.
• It is valuable to have the professional training card for the transport of goods.
• At least 5 years of experience as a transport coordinator or manager.
• Proficiency in transport management tools, logistics management software, and Excel.
• Knowledge of route calculation programs and transport management systems (TMS).
