Job Summary

Operate heavy vehicles to transport loads safely and efficiently, perform vehicle checks, plan routes, and handle loading/unloading tasks while adhering to safety policies and supporting operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate trailer or prime mover to transport loads between designated locations safely and on schedule
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and reliability
• Plan and optimize routes to improve delivery efficiency and timeliness
• Load and unload goods carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper handling
• Follow all safety practices, policies, and procedures consistently to maintain a safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and operational goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a valid Class 4 or Class 5 Driving Licence

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Demonstrate familiarity with construction site environments to navigate and operate safely
• Possess 7 to 10 years of relevant driving and transportation experience
• Exhibit effective interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with team members and site personnel
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands
• Ability to work a six-day work week
