Summary
A trainee/junior shipbroker handles client interactions, negotiates deals, and gathers market intelligence for charterers and ship owners in Asia, with no prior experience required but maritime/logistics knowledge helpful.
The Job
The successful applicant will join the vibrant CPP team as a junior shipbroker. The role is multi-faceted;
- Requiring excellent interpersonal skills to work with charterers and ship owners from all parts of Asia
- Fast thinking on the spot with the ability to compile market info from snippets of conversation
- Creativity in solutions proposed
- Tenacity to source, chase and close deals
- Confidence in presenting business proposals to clients
- and most of all, a positive attitude with a great sense of humour
- No prior experience in CPP, maritime or logistics is required, but it will be a definite advantage. We look forward to meeting you.
