• Understand the motivations, aspirations and development needs of young professionals and translate these into meaningful development actions.

• Identify and match suitable assignments and projects based on individual development goals, trainee preferences and business needs.

• Support trainees in securing subsequent assignments and their first permanent role through career coaching, stakeholder management and development conversations.

• Conduct regular development discussions with trainees and progress reviews with managers and business stakeholders.

Programme Management and Execution:

• Own and continuously improve the trainee experience across the full employee journey, from onboarding through to permanent placement.

• Organize and facilitate development activities such as onboarding programmes, training sessions, workshops, community events, group assignments and graduation events.

• Build and maintain a strong trainee community that encourages collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing.

• Partner closely with business leaders, managers and HR stakeholders to ensure the programme delivers value for both trainees and the organisation.

• Work closely with the Global ITP team to further develop and implement the programme within ING Netherlands.

• Monitor programme outcomes, identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the future development of the ING Traineeship Programme.
