Description

Training provided · Part-time to start, with a path to full-time · Partner preschools and schools across Singapore, and our studio

Employment type: Part-time (trainee), with a path to full-time

You'll be the reason a toddler falls in love with dance

Some little ones hide behind their teacher in their first class. A few weeks later they're leaping, spinning and taking a bow at their graduation concert. You're the reason that happens.

The role

A new trainee role in our early years team. You'll start part-time, teaching children aged 18 months to 6 at our partner preschools and schools and at our studio, and take on more classes as you grow, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position. You don't need to write lessons: we give you our curriculum and lesson plans and train you to teach them well.

What you'll do

• Teach fun, structured classes from our curriculum, with your music, props and energy ready to go.
• Keep little ones safe, engaged and happy: clear routines, a voice they can hear, gentle encouragement for shy dancers and positive outlets for big energy.
• Help children grow in coordination, rhythm, listening and confidence.
• Be the friendly face of TMS at each centre: build good relationships with principals and teachers, follow their routines and safeguarding procedures, and help with showcases and graduation concerts.
• Keep our team in the loop with attendance, class notes and anything a centre or parent should know.
• Join our termly teacher training, help with holiday programmes and camps, and share ideas to make our programme even better.

You'll love this if

• You're warm, patient and full of positive energy, and can lead a room of 3-year-olds with calm confidence and a big, clear voice.
• You're happy to follow a set curriculum, take feedback and keep improving.
• You're reliable and organised, and enjoy working with school staff as much as teaching children.
• You see your future in teaching: happy to start part-time and keen to grow into a full-time role with us.

What you bring

• A background in dance, music, drama, musical theatre or another movement- or rhythm-based activity. No syllabus training needed: if you have rhythm and a willingness to learn, we'll teach you our moves.
• Good spoken and written English, and a friendly, professional manner with school staff and parents.
• Able to travel to our partner schools around Singapore and to our studio.
• Able to work one day on weekends.
• Willing to complete a background check and any safeguarding training our partner schools require.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching or working with young children (preschool, enrichment, studio or school)
• Early childhood training or certification (e.g. ECDA-recognised)
• A diploma or degree in dance, performing arts, music, drama, early childhood or a related field
• First aid certification (or willingness to get certified)

Fresh graduates and dance-adjacent backgrounds are welcome: we'll train and mentor you.

What we offer

• Our curriculum and lesson plans, with termly training and mentoring from experienced teachers
• The opportunity to grow into a full-time position

How to apply

Apply with your CV and a short note on why you love teaching young children. Please include your WhatsApp number so we can reach you quickly, and (optional but lovely) a short video of you dancing or teaching.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a chat and a short trial class. Applications close 30 November 2026.

We are committed to fair employment practices and welcome applicants of all backgrounds.
