Training Coordinator

Overview:

As a Training & Performance Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing, supporting, and improving the performance of onsite associates within a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment. This position is responsible for overseeing associate training, monitoring workplace performance and productivity, reinforcing safety expectations, and partnering with operations leadership to identify opportunities for coaching and continuous improvement.

The Training & Performance Coordinator will maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor, working directly with associates and trainers to ensure employees are properly trained, engaged, productive, and equipped to perform their responsibilities safely. This role requires a highly observant and proactive leader who can build relationships with employees at all levels while providing meaningful coaching and support.

You will also be responsible for monitoring training effectiveness, documenting associate progress, reviewing productivity and performance trends, and helping ensure trainers are delivering consistent and effective instruction. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a highly visible, fast-paced environment and will have the ability to identify performance concerns, communicate findings, and partner with Operations leadership to develop appropriate solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

Training & Associate Development

  • Maintain a consistent and highly visible presence on the warehouse floor, particularly throughout the Outbound Building.
  • Monitor and support the training and development of onsite associates to ensure they understand job expectations, safety requirements, and proper work procedures.
  • Track and document associate training progress, performance, and development needs.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and reinforcement to help associates improve performance, productivity, engagement, and workplace behaviors.
  • Identify training gaps and partner with Operations leadership to develop solutions and improve training effectiveness.

Performance & Productivity

  • Monitor associate productivity and performance on a daily basis.
  • Review Associate Tracking Reports and labor management system data to identify trends related to engagement, productivity, attendance, excessive socializing, or other performance concerns.
  • Provide observations and recommendations to Operations leadership regarding associate performance and development opportunities.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to develop coaching strategies and performance improvement plans when appropriate.
  • Help promote a culture of accountability, engagement, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure associates are consistently following established safety policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
  • Monitor and reinforce the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Observe associates performing job functions and provide real-time coaching to reinforce safe work practices.
  • Identify potential safety concerns and immediately escalate policy violations or unsafe conditions to the appropriate Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner closely with Operations Managers, Supervisors, Trainers, and onsite leadership to align training initiatives with operational needs.
  • Communicate associate performance trends, training needs, and opportunities for improvement to leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with associates at all levels and create an approachable environment that encourages questions, learning, and development.
  • Participate in regular meetings and discussions related to workforce performance, training effectiveness, and operational goals.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED with 2–4 years of experience in training, employee development, operations, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or workforce management.
  • Experience in a high-volume warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Ability to work on your feet and walk throughout a warehouse environment for 10–12 hours per day, 5–6 days per week.
  • Experience providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, or training in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety expectations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret performance and productivity data and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.94 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location.
