Training Support Specialist

Job Summary
The Training Support Specialist is responsible for managing training data, developing Power BI dashboards, automating reports, and delivering actionable insights that support learning and development initiatives. This role serves as the primary resource for training analytics and reporting, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and meaningful data to measure training effectiveness, workforce readiness, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, expertise in Power BI, and the ability to transform complex datasets into impactful visual reports that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analytics

Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for Training, Quality, and Operations stakeholders.
Monitor and report key learning and performance metrics, including training completion, assessment scores, certification rates, productivity, and quality outcomes.
Generate recurring and ad hoc reports to support business and operational needs.
Analyze training data and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for performance improvement.

Dashboard Development

Design intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that provide clear visibility into learning and training KPIs.
Create data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to leaders and stakeholders.
Enhance reporting capabilities through advanced Power BI features, including DAX calculations, data modeling, and drill-through functionality.
Ensure dashboards remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with changing business requirements.

Report Automation & Data Management

Automate routine reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Consolidate data from multiple sources, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), workforce management systems, quality platforms, and operational databases.
Maintain data integrity through validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities as needed.

Stakeholder Support

Partner with Training, Operations, Quality, and Leadership teams to understand reporting requirements and business objectives.
Translate stakeholder needs into meaningful reports and dashboards.
Provide analytical support for training initiatives, program launches, and performance improvement projects.
Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Learning Effectiveness Measurement

Track and evaluate training effectiveness using established learning and business metrics.
Support the analysis of learner performance, onboarding outcomes, certification achievement, and post-training success.
Develop scorecards and KPI dashboards to monitor training impact and return on investment (ROI).

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, data visualization standards, and analytics capabilities.
Stay current on Power BI enhancements, reporting best practices, and emerging analytics technologies.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen data-driven decision-making across the training function.

Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Statistics, Learning & Development, or a related field preferred.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or training support functions.
Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports in a corporate environment.
Experience supporting Learning & Development, Training, Operations, or Human Resources functions preferred.

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI.
Strong knowledge of:

Data modeling
DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
Power Query
Excel and advanced reporting functions
Data visualization best practices

Familiarity with SQL and basic data engineering concepts.
Experience in Power Automate Build Up (Approval workflow, Cloud flow, etc)
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and enterprise reporting tools is an advantage.
