Transport Data Analyst

In this role, you'll:

You will be working as part of a team to support the acquisition, assurance, analysis, and interpretation of spatial, transport and traffic operational data to support evidence-based decision making, optimise business outcomes, and enhance customer experience for traffic, safety and public transport based minor works programs.

This role will see you contributing to business and customer outcomes by ensuring data is accessible, consistent and effectively used; identification of potential data sources external to the business; design and deliver advanced analytics and insights; and partner across technical and business teams to improve systems, processes, and data quality to inform project and program decision making.

You will drive new ways of delivering high-quality data insights, strengthened data governance, and system/process enhancements in a dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple concurrent projects, tight deadlines, and complex stakeholder relationships.

About you

Your extensive experience in transport and traffic data management, analytics (including spatial), data governance and stakeholder engagement which will see you excel in resolving complex data issues, providing trusted insights, improving data quality, consistency, integration and governance to lead to enhanced project and program outcomes.

Additionally, you will have an understanding of current transport challenges across Sydney, traffic flow theory application, economic evaluation of projects (benefit analysis / realisation) and project lifecycles.

You’re recognised as an advisor and influencer, a strong communicator, and capable of driving continuous improvement. You are skilled at translating complex technical information for diverse audiences, delivering advanced analytics and building collaborative relationships.

You will possess tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or relevant industry experience.
