Transport Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repairs of vehicles to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records for each vehicle, including maintenance history, insurance, and fuel usage.
- Monitor vehicle performance, identify operational inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
- Assign routes and schedules to drivers based on customer requirements and operational needs.
- Plan and optimize daily and weekly transport schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Respond promptly to schedule changes, breakdowns, or incidents, making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure vehicles and drivers comply with rules and regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to confirm adherence to safety protocols and providing report to the management.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure all documentation related to vehicle insurance, licensing, and driver certifications is up to date.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management, ideally within a transportation company.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
Knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
