Transportation Manager
Amentum is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Transportation Manager to oversee planning, coordinating, executing, and optimizing transportation operations to support distributed logistics and sustainment activities throughout the Indo-Pacific in support of Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.
The position integrates transportation requirements across multiple modes and locations while ensuring timely, efficient, and resilient movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and other mission-essential cargo.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day transportation operations supporting Regional Support Office (RSO) and Joint Theater Distribution Center (JTDC) logistics activities.
- Plan and coordinate movement of cargo, equipment, supplies, and personnel across the Indo-Pacific.
- Coordinate transportation requirements across air, surface, maritime, and commercial transportation modes.
- Develop transportation plans, movement schedules, routing options, and contingency plans.
- Coordinate with Government transportation, logistics, supply, distribution, and operational stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility of transportation requirements, movement status, capacity, and delivery timelines.
- Identify transportation constraints, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support distributed and contested logistics operations designed to improve resilience and reduce operational signatures.
- Coordinate with commercial transportation providers and logistics partners as required.
- Monitor transportation performance against established schedules, requirements, and performance metrics.
- Support transportation forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain transportation SOPs, processes, reports, and operational documentation.
- Support exercises, experimentation, modernization, and contingency planning activities.
- Provide transportation expertise during planning sessions, working groups, exercises, and operational events.
- Leverage available logistics information systems and data to improve transportation visibility and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; High School Diploma (General Education) w/10+ years relevant experience
- 8+ years of Army and Theater-level logistics
- 5+ years transportation, distribution, supply, or logistics experience
- Familiarity with USINDOPACOM and Indo-Pacific mission priorities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have an active Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.
- CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years transportation/distribution leadership.
- Large-scale or multi-site warehouse operations.
- Military distribution center or commercial 3PL experience.
- HAZMAT/MHE; Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, APICS/ASCM or equivalent.
- Experience supporting USINDOPACOM, PACFLT, MARFORPAC, PACAF, USARPAC and SOCPAC
- Have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Top-Secret Clearance.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $165K - $195K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
