Transportation Officer/Laundry Attendant
Location: State Farm, VA, the Transitional Women’s Work Release Program (TWWR) mission is to teach low-security level inmates who are 4-10 months from release of incarceration effective coping skills to lead a pro-social, drug-free life and assist those eligible to obtain employment in the community.
Schedule: Per Diem, Maximum of 24 hours per week/hours will vary
Pay Rate: $19.89/hour
The Transportation Officer/Laundry Attendant is responsible for:
- -Carry out laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, and folding inmate work uniforms.
- -Providing transportation for clients to and from the facility and employment in the community.
- -Conducting visual inspections of vehicles at the beginning of each shift documenting any issues or concerns using the Spectrum Daily Vehicle Inspection Checklist.
- -Logging all trips and mileage keeping an accurate accounting of each trip, individuals present in the vehicle, purpose of transportation, beginning and ending mileage, the date and time of day.
- -Bringing vehicles for routine maintenance and service and directed by the Program Director.
- -Addressing program participant issues, concerns, and inappropriate behaviors promptly while providing transportation.
- -Reporting traffic violations, parking tickets, accidents, and any other issue to the Program Director immediately.
- -Completing assigned driver safety training within 30 days of employment.
- -Serving as role-model/mentor for offenders while maintaining professional boundaries.
- -Reporting infractions of work release program rules, issues at work and other behavioral issues to the Program Director immediately as identified.
