Transportation Project Manager
Summary
Garver, an employee-owned civil engineering firm, seeks a Transportation Project Manager in Overland Park, KS to lead roadway and interchange projects — managing schedules, sub-consultants, cost estimates, plan production, and client/marketing activities. Core work centers on MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads) and KDOT/AASHTO design standards.

- Technical experience should include:
- Geometric design for roadways/interchanges
- Drainage design
- Construction sequencing and traffic control
- Utility relocation coordination
- Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (KDOT preferred).
- Practical working knowledge of the KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook and Roadside Design Guide as well as other KDOT Design manuals and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Previous roadway design experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on KDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects.
- 3D Design experience.
