About The Team

As a Transportation Operations Manager at JD Logistics you will be a vital part of our logistics team, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. You will manage daily transportation activities, optimize routes, and maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders to support our operational goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international transportation of goods, including full truckload (FTL), less than truckload (LTL), and parcel shipments.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively identifying and resolving any delays or issues.
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation solutions.
- Manage carrier relationships, including performance evaluation and contract compliance.
- Process shipping documentation accurately and efficiently, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and delivery notes.
- Optimize transportation routes and modes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with warehousing, procurement, and sales teams to align transportation activities with overall supply chain objectives.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other software tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze transportation reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in transportation operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international freight forwarding processes and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and manage vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Polish , Chinese is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- A degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
