Travel Management Specialist
This position is responsible for domestic and foreign travel policy interpretation, implementation, analysis, and compliance activities for Emergency and Regulatory Compliance Services nationally for both temporary duty and relocation travel. If selected, you will also serve as a Federal Agency Travel Administrator for Concur or any equivalent future systems.
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
Interprets regulations, policies, procedures, and other information applicable to travel management as well as identifies the need for and development of travel-related standard operating procedures.
Informs program officials of new or revised travel policies and procedures.
Establishes internal program policy and guidelines for tracking official travel and processing authorizations.
Performs required actions specific to travel management related to activity such as new employee orientation, separations, details, and deployments.
Conducts compliance reviews to evaluate the extent and quality of implementation of travel laws, policies, and procedures.
