Travel Sales Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, patient and enthusiastic Travel Sales Consultant to join our team.

No prior travel industry experience is required, and training will be provided. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, understands their needs and is motivated to recommend suitable travel packages and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Job Responsibilities

• Attend to customer enquiries and understand their travel needs, preferences and budget.
• Introduce and explain tour packages, itineraries, prices and promotions to customers.
• Recommend suitable travel packages based on customers' requirements.
• Provide clear and accurate information about destinations, itineraries and travel arrangements.
• Follow up with prospective customers and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Assist customers throughout the booking and payment process.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service before and after booking.
• Maintain good relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Keep up to date with the company's latest tour packages, destinations and promotions.
• Assist with other related sales and customer service duties when required.

Requirements

• No minimum academic qualification required.
• No prior travel industry experience required — training will be provided.
• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are preferred.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required as the role involves communicating with Mandarin-speaking customers and explaining tour packages and itineraries in Mandarin.
• Friendly, patient and service-oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and recommending suitable products or services.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• Responsible and able to follow up with customers independently.
• Sales or customer service experience is an advantage, but not required.
• Able to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays when scheduled.

Working Arrangement

• Full-time position.
• 5.5-day work week.
• Rotating roster / shift arrangement.
• Work location: Chinatown, Singapore.
• May be required to work on weekends and public holidays according to the roster.
• Overtime and public holiday work will be compensated where applicable.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary: S$2,200 – S$2,500 per month
• Sales commission
• Performance / company bonus
• Annual leave
• Training provided for candidates without travel industry experience.
• Opportunity to develop into a Tour Leader and lead overseas tour groups.
• Additional tour-leading allowance when assigned to lead tour groups.
